This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accounts Receivable Collections Coordinator based in the United States. The Accounts Receivable Collections Coordinator will manage a high-value portfolio of more than 300 customer accounts, including complex national and enterprise relationships. The role focuses on reducing overdue balances, accelerating cash collections, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. You will take ownership of a portfolio containing over $2 million in past-due balances and approximately $2 million in active receivables. Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will investigate payment delays, resolve billing disputes, and remove obstacles to timely payment. This position requires strong analytical skills, commercial collections expertise, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload independently. It offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on cash flow while building positive customer relationships in a collaborative environment. \n Accountabilities The coordinator will oversee collection activities across a substantial B2B portfolio, balancing effective debt recovery with customer service and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include: • Manage a portfolio of more than 300 customer accounts, including large national accounts with multiple locations. • Review accounts receivable aging reports and prioritise collection activities based on account risk, outstanding balances, payment history, and collection trends. • Drive collection efforts across more than $2 million in past-due receivables. • Proactively investigate and resolve payment delays, billing disputes, invoice discrepancies, deductions, short payments, unapplied cash, and timecard issues. • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and remove barriers to payment. • Review, process, and accurately apply customer remittances. • Manage and respond to ServiceNow tickets while providing support for shared team queues. • Prepare and maintain reports covering delinquent accounts, collection activities, payment trends, dispute status, and portfolio performance. • Partner with Operations, Billing, Sales, Finance, and other departments to resolve account discrepancies and outstanding issues. • Escalate complex matters when necessary and clearly communicate account status, resolution timelines, and collection strategies. • Maintain accurate account records, collection notes, and supporting documentation. • Build and maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring consistent follow-up and progress toward collection targets. Requirements The ideal candidate will have substantial commercial accounts receivable and B2B collections experience, with a proven ability to manage large portfolios and resolve complex payment issues. The following qualifications and skills are required: • At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and commercial collections. • Strong B2B collections experience, including managing enterprise or national customer accounts. • Proven experience handling large customer portfolios and high-value receivables. • Hands-on experience reviewing and managing accounts receivable aging reports. • Demonstrated ability to resolve invoice disputes, billing discrepancies, deductions, short payments, and payment delays. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting. • Experience with ERP systems such as Lawson, Oracle, SAP, or comparable platforms. Lawson experience is preferred. • Familiarity with collections or account management systems. • Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-volume environment. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present account status, timelines, and collection strategies to leadership. • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Attention to detail, effective follow-up, and accurate documentation skills. • Comfort navigating multiple systems, managing competing priorities, and handling escalations. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Radius and ServiceNow. • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will also be considered. • Experience owning large-dollar accounts receivable portfolios and resolving complex enterprise account issues. • A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively across departments. Benefits • Starting hourly pay rate of $21.00 . The final rate may vary based on qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and work location. • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. • Pet insurance. • Benefits coverage beginning on the first day of the month following the hire date. • Eight paid holidays per year. • Two floating holidays per year. • Paid time off. • 401(k) retirement plan. • Wellness program. • Parental leave. • Incentive programs. • Opportunities for career development and internal promotion. • Collaborative team environment. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
