Data Licence Agreement

The licence that governs AllRoles data products — the developer API, exports, reports, and the data workspace: what licensed organisations may do with the data, what they may not, and how the data itself should (and should not) be relied on.

DRAFT — NOT YET REVIEWED BY COUNSEL

This document is a working draft published for transparency. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, it is not legal advice, and it is not yet a binding offer or final contract term. AllRoles currently operates without a formed legal entity; bracketed placeholders mark the points that will be completed when an entity exists and counsel has reviewed the text.

Data Licence Agreement

For AllRoles data products: developer API, data exports, reports, and the data workspace

Status of this document

DRAFT — NOT YET REVIEWED BY COUNSEL. This is the working text AllRoles intends to license its data products under. It is published so prospective customers can evaluate the terms before any purchase. AllRoles is operated without a formed legal entity at this time; the operator references in brackets — [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME — TO BE COMPLETED ON ENTITY FORMATION] and [GOVERNING LAW — TO BE SET ON ENTITY FORMATION] — will be completed when an entity exists and counsel has reviewed this agreement. Until then, nothing in this document is a binding offer.

1. Definitions

"Data Products" means the AllRoles developer API (/api/v1), CSV/JSON data exports and bulk exports, published reports and benchmark editions, and the data workspace (watchlists, company analytics, saved reports, and competitor briefs).

"Licensed Data" means the job-posting records, company records, lifecycle events, snapshots, aggregates, and report content delivered through the Data Products.

"Licensed Organisation" means the organisation that purchases or is granted access. "Authorised Users" are that organisation's employees and contractors, up to the number of seats in the applicable plan.

2. Licence grant

Subject to the applicable plan and payment of fees, AllRoles grants the Licensed Organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Licensed Data internally, through the Authorised Users named by its plan, for its own business purposes. No ownership of the Licensed Data transfers. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Access credentials, API keys, and workspace accounts are issued to the Licensed Organisation and its Authorised Users only and may not be shared outside them.

3. Permitted uses

The Licensed Organisation may: (a) analyse the Licensed Data for internal planning, recruiting strategy, market research, and business decision-making; (b) include Licensed Data in internal reports, dashboards, and presentations; (c) publish derived aggregates — statistics, indexes, charts, and findings computed from the Licensed Data — provided the underlying raw records are not reproduced and AllRoles is attributed under section 5; (d) store Licensed Data on its own systems for the term of the licence.

4. Prohibited uses

The Licensed Organisation may not: (a) sell, sublicense, redistribute, or publicly republish the Licensed Data as raw records, in bulk or record-by-record; (b) use the Licensed Data to build, train, or populate a competing job-postings dataset, job board, or data product offered for resale; (c) scrape or crawl the AllRoles website in place of licensed API or export access; (d) attempt to re-identify individuals from the Licensed Data — the data is company- and posting-level, and any incidental personal names appearing in employer-published posting text must not be extracted into profiles of individuals; (e) remove or obscure attribution; (f) exceed plan limits (seats, watchlist size, API rate limits) or share API keys outside the Licensed Organisation.

5. Attribution

Derived aggregates and findings published by the Licensed Organisation must cite "AllRoles" together with the edition or as-of date of the data used (for example: "Source: AllRoles AI Hiring Index, data as of 15 October 2026"). Where the publication is a web page, a link to allroles.lovable.app or to the AllRoles methodology page is required where reasonably practical.

6. Nature of the data — no completeness warranty

The Licensed Data describes advertised hiring demand: job postings as published by employers on their applicant-tracking systems and career pages. A posting is not evidence that a hire was made, and advertised pay is not paid compensation — salary figures are the ranges employers chose to advertise, processed as described in the AllRoles methodology. Postings may be inaccurate, duplicated by employers across boards, withdrawn, or changed by the employer at any time.

AllRoles collects and classifies the data on a best-efforts basis (see the methodology page for sources, cadence, dedup, and field definitions). The Licensed Data is provided "as is" without warranty of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Coverage is the set of employers on tracked boards — roughly 1,034 companies with live postings at the time of drafting — not the whole labour market.

7. Point-in-time data is never restated

Daily snapshots and as-of views record the board exactly as observed on that date. AllRoles does not restate, backfill, or revise historical snapshots: if a classification rule improves or a source is corrected, the change applies to future snapshots, and the changelog records it. Licensees who need a stable historical series should retain the snapshots or exports they received; re-downloads reflect the data as published for that date.

8. Availability and changes

AllRoles refreshes the underlying postings twice daily and publishes dataset and schema changes in the changelog. Material schema changes to the API or export formats will be announced in the changelog before they take effect where reasonably practical. AllRoles may add sources and fields at any time; additions do not change the licence terms for existing data.

9. Fees

Fees are as stated on the pricing page or the applicable order at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew for successive terms unless cancelled before renewal. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where AllRoles materially breaches this agreement. [PAYMENT PROCESSING AND TAX TERMS — TO BE COMPLETED WHEN CARD PAYMENTS ARE ENABLED.]

10. Term and termination

This licence runs for the subscription or edition term purchased. Either party may terminate for material breach that is not cured within 14 days of written notice. AllRoles may suspend access immediately for a breach of section 4. On termination: API keys and workspace access are revoked; the Licensed Organisation must delete raw Licensed Data in its possession within 30 days, except derived aggregates already incorporated into its internal or published work, which may be retained with attribution. Sections 4, 6, 7, and 11 survive termination.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages. AllRoles' total aggregate liability under this agreement is capped at the fees paid by the Licensed Organisation in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. General

This agreement is governed by [GOVERNING LAW — TO BE SET ON ENTITY FORMATION]. Notices and questions go through the contact options on this site until a notices address is published. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. This agreement, together with the applicable order, is the entire agreement for the Data Products and supersedes the website Terms of Service where the two conflict for Licensed Data.
