This FP&A lead position is a critical and highly visible leadership role within the Iterable finance team that drives integrated financial strategic analysis and consolidation to support department and company-wide planning, forecasting, and performance reporting processes. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, this strategic leader will be essential to corporate forecasting, reporting, and executive decision support while serving as a strategic partner to Research & Development (R&D). You will lead forecasting for product-level revenue and bookings, while partnering closely with Product and Commercial teams on pricing model initiatives and unit economics. Your goal is to bridge our SaaS platform's technical trajectory and financial performance, leading short- and long-term investment strategy while standing at the nexus of AI-driven development—both leveraging cutting-edge AI financial tooling and supporting the future of AI-driven personalized marketing.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of leadership in interpreting, analyzing, and communicating complex business issues and driving strategic improvements. Advanced strategic problem-solving, team mentorship, cross-functional prioritization, and rigorous financial rigor are critical. This position offers significant executive exposure and direct influence over core strategic decisions across the business.
The core functions of the role include helping lead the annual operating plan, orchestrating rolling forecasts, driving contingent scenario planning and strategic long-range models, and establishing advanced month-end management reporting—ensuring agility to continuously champion the strategic objectives of Iterable.
Responsibilities:
- Be a key driver in company-wide financial statement forecasting and reporting across product-level revenue metrics, bookings, resource allocation, headcount, and OpEx, maintaining full finance ownership for the R&D organization
- Serve as the strategic finance leader for the R&D organization, managing departmental budgets, headcount models, and ROI metrics across technical development initiatives
- Partner closely with the Product and Go-To-Market leadership teams on strategic pricing model initiatives, package architecture, and monetization strategies for new product offerings
- Lead financial oversight for AI-driven platform initiatives, evaluating investment returns on AI development tools as well as unit economics for AI-powered personalized marketing features
- Own the holistic company cost of revenue forecast, partnering with Engineering FinOps to tie platform performance and cloud infrastructure optimization directly to gross margin optimization
- Spearhead executive and Board of Directors presentation materials, creating high-impact dashboards and narrative analyses to articulate corporate strategy and performance
- Leverage modern AI-driven financial planning tools and methodologies to continuous innovate and scale core FP&A processes
- Drive financial risk and opportunity analyses, evaluating scenario modeling to guide senior management decision-making
- Build scalable strategic frameworks in close alignment with Accounting, Product, and Engineering leadership to drive cross-functional efficiency
We are looking for people who have:
- BS in Accounting/Finance, related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of progressive financial analysis experience at high-growth SaaS companies, public accounting, or investment banking, with explicit experience leading product-level software finance
- Proven experience building revenue models, evaluating pricing strategy, and forecasting roll-ups by geographies, segments and/or products
- Expertise in quantitative analysis and financial modeling, alongside familiarity with modern AI tools, BI solutions, and G-Suite apps
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior C-suite executives (CFO, CTO, CPO), able to drive strategic consensus and execute their priorities with sound judgement
- Strong passion for AI technology trends, AI-powered product development, and adopting next-gen automation tools
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Built strong, collaborative relationships with key team members and stakeholders to drive operational efficiency
- Roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and ability to adapt quickly to changes in business priorities and conditions
