Civil Engineer Intern- Structural

As an intern, responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Assist with plan specifications and estimates as well as documenting construction activities. Assist with AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and update redlines with various project set drawings. Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station. Perform work in a variety of software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, etc. Potential observation and data collection at different types of project sites. Assist with research, development and design of projects.   Enrolled in a Civil Engineering, or related Engineering program. Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD are preferred. Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions. Above average math and communication skills. Valid driver’s license and availability for overnight travel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Civil 3D and ArcGIS is helpful. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members, and clients. Task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, following up, and keeping project information organized. Problem solving and analytical skills.
