Building Maintenance Technician

Synergy, a leading Boston commercial real estate investment and management firm, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This individual will be a key member of our maintenance staff working under supervision, performing all maintenance duties and responding to work orders, tenant calls and other operational/administrative duties for an urban based office building as instructed. Job Requirements Monitors building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. Provides support to work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning. Performs repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as directed. Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements as directed. Performs carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
