About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join Insight AI, helping our customers navigate complex technology challenges and deliver solutions that create measurable business value. You will lead solution architecture across customer engagements, working from early discovery and strategic advisory through to solution design, technical governance and delivery. You will collaborate with senior business stakeholders, product teams, engineering leaders and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with business strategy, operational needs and long-term technology objectives. We value architects who combine deep technical expertise with broad architectural understanding, commercial awareness and strong consulting skills. You will be expected to exercise independent judgement, challenge assumptions constructively and provide authoritative guidance on architectural decisions. What You'll Be Doing Solution Architecture Leadership: Lead the design of complex, end-to-end solutions across applications, data, integration, cloud and infrastructure, ensuring consistency with business and technical requirements. Business & Technology Alignment: Translate customer strategy and business objectives into architectural recommendations, capability improvements and technology roadmaps. Technical Governance: Provide architectural oversight throughout delivery, evaluating design changes, managing technical risks and ensuring appropriate standards are applied. Cloud Architecture: Lead the design and assessment of secure, resilient and scalable cloud solutions, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments where appropriate. AI & Emerging Technologies: Evaluate AI, generative AI and emerging technologies, advising customers on their suitability, opportunities, risks and practical adoption. Customer Consulting: Lead discovery and architecture workshops, assess existing capabilities and provide expert recommendations to improve business and technology outcomes. Pre-sales & Commercial Engagement: Take responsibility for the technical content of proposals, solution options and estimates, working with commercial teams to articulate value, feasibility and delivery risks. Stakeholder Leadership: Build effective relationships with senior customer stakeholders, facilitate decision-making and constructively challenge requirements or strategic direction. Delivery & Engineering Collaboration: Guide multidisciplinary teams through implementation, resolving architectural challenges and ensuring solutions remain aligned with agreed objectives. Architecture Assurance & Improvement: Lead risk-based technical assessments, identify architectural weaknesses and recommend prioritised improvements. Knowledge Sharing & Mentoring: Support the development of other architects and engineers, sharing architectural practices, technical expertise and lessons learned. What We're Looking For Technical capabilities Significant experience designing and leading complex solutions across multiple technology domains. Strong understanding of modern application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, integration patterns and data architecture. Advanced experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure or AWS, including security, resilience, scalability and cost management. Ability to evaluate architectural alternatives and make defensible decisions balancing business outcomes, technical quality, cost and delivery constraints. Understanding of AI/ML and generative AI technologies, including their integration patterns, limitations, risks and governance considerations. Experience defining technical roadmaps, architectural principles and solution-level standards. Ability to assess existing technology landscapes, identify risks and recommend pragmatic improvements. Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, including security, availability, performance, observability and operational readiness. Experience providing technical guidance and governance throughout Agile and DevOps delivery lifecycles. Consulting and professional capabilities Proven ability to lead customer-facing technical engagements with significant autonomy. Strong consulting skills, including discovery, stakeholder facilitation and the ability to translate business strategy into technical recommendations. Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and constructively challenging assumptions or requirements. Commercial awareness, with experience contributing to or leading technical proposals, estimates and solution shaping. Ability to communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to business and technical audiences. Experience influencing multidisciplinary teams and resolving competing priorities. Ability to consolidate specialist expertise from different disciplines into coherent architectural recommendations.
