General Catering Assistant

We are seeking a General Catering Assistant to join our catering team in Dublin, Ireland. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, professional catering environment. The successful candidate will be organised, efficient, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and customer service. You will work as part of a supportive team, contributing to the smooth operation of our catering services across various events and functions. • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with established recipes and procedures • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas, adhering to food safety regulations Support senior catering staff in the setup and breakdown of catering events and service areas • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed by the catering team • Assist with the serving of food and beverages to clients and guests in a professional and courteous manner Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively • Monitor stock levels and assist with the organisation of storage areas • Follow all health and safety procedures and report any hazards or concerns to management • Respond to special dietary requirements and food allergies with attention and care • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the catering operation through teamwork and flexibility **Required:** • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational and time management skills • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team • Good communication and people skills • Willingness to follow instructions and procedures • Flexibility with shift patterns, including evenings and weekends where required **Desirable:** • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service • Food hygiene certification or Level 2 Food Safety in Catering qualification • Experience with specialist kitchen equipment • Knowledge of dietary requirements and food allergies • Experience in event catering or banqueting services About Aramark  Aramark Ireland is a leader in food, facilities, and workplace services, supporting clients across healthcare, education, business, and the public sector.
