Kitchen Porter

We're looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in Tralee, Kerry, Ireland. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment while developing your skills in food service support. Your commitment to maintaining high standards will directly contribute to the smooth running of our kitchen and the satisfaction of our customers. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage facilities in accordance with established protocols and health and safety regulations Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as directed by senior team members Remove and dispose of waste and recyclable materials in compliance with environmental and health and safety standards Perform general kitchen cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work surfaces and equipment to the highest standards Restock supplies and ensure all necessary items are readily available to support kitchen operations and service flow Maintain consistent awareness of food safety and hygiene standards at all times, reporting any concerns promptly to management Work efficiently and collaboratively during peak service times to support the overall kitchen operation and team objectives Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly to ensure minimal disruption Follow all health, safety, and food handling procedures established by the organization with meticulous attention to detail Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when priorities change during service, maintaining a positive and resilient approach Contribute to a supportive and inclusive kitchen environment by communicating effectively with all team members Handle repetitive tasks with consistency and maintain focus throughout extended shifts Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar hospitality support role (preferred) Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards with demonstrated commitment to compliance Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment Physical stamina and capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks Excellent organizational and time-keeping skills with reliability and punctuality Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards Strong teamwork and people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues Willingness to follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities with a positive and motivated attitude Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures (preferred) Health and Safety awareness and commitment to organizational compliance requirements Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic working environment, demonstrating adaptability to changing demands Manual dexterity and good coordination for handling kitchen equipment and materials safely Positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn and develop within the role Ability to manage stress effectively while maintaining performance under pressure Environmental and waste management awareness with commitment to sustainable practices About Aramark  Aramark Ireland is a leader in food, facilities, and workplace services, supporting clients across healthcare, education, business, and the public sector.
