Catering Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team in Athlone, Ireland. In this role, you will be a valued member of our catering operations, supporting our team in delivering exceptional food service whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and customer care. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact the experience of our customers and colleagues alike. - Support the catering team to ensure smooth service operations during busy periods, responding flexibly to changing priorities - Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail 7.30am-3.30pm Perform washing up, food preparation support, and general housekeeping duties efficiently and to a consistently high standard - Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures with commitment and care - Provide outstanding customer service to all customers, staff, and visitors with a friendly and approachable manner Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals, offering support where needed - Assist with basic till operations and transaction handling, demonstrating sound numeracy skills - Respond positively to feedback and contribute to a supportive, inclusive team environment **What We Are Seeking** - An approachable demeanor with strong people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers - Reliability and flexibility with a strong commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance - Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods in a busy environment - Willingness to follow health and safety procedures and company policies without exception - Basic numeracy skills for till operations and transaction handling - Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, organised, and resilient - A genuine team player mentality with a collaborative approach to work Awareness of food hygiene principles and a commitment to maintaining safe food handling practices **Desirable Experience** - Previous catering or food service experience is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive induction and training will be provided - Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment **What We Value** Your enthusiasm, reliability, and willingness to learn - Your commitment to delivering excellent customer service - Your ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing operational needs About Aramark  Aramark Ireland is a leader in food, facilities, and workplace services, supporting clients across healthcare, education, business, and the public sector.
