Kitchen Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Bicester, OX25 1PZ. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to support a busy kitchen operation, helping to deliver high-quality food services while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, safety, and teamwork. What's in it for you? £15.30 per hour 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday Free meals whilst on duty Free on-site parking Gym access Blue Light Card membership Life assurance and pension scheme Access to our Employee Benefits app: online GP, Employee Assistance Scheme, and hundreds of discounts and savings Training and development opportunities Career progression within a global organisation What you'll be doing Basic food preparation, including the preparation of cold food items Following all Health & Safety and food safety procedures Receiving deliveries, checking stock, and ensuring correct stock rotation Cleaning kitchen areas and equipment to maintain high hygiene standards Assisting with pot wash duties and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team during service periods Collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely and efficient food service Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment About you Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable and flexible approach to work Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures is desirable Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is beneficial but not essential Important Requirements You must have resided in the UK continuously for the past 5 years and have the legal right to work in the UK. The successful candidate will be required to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
